Dead Space: Martyr B. K. Evenson

I have no particular bone to pick with Dead Space: Martyr. For a game that was dismissed initially for 'borrowing' from a number of Hollywood sci-fi staples, EA's 2008 release Dead Space has since inspired a huge collection of cross-media adaptations to add to the series lore. Evenson called Dead Space: Martyr, served as a prequel to Dead Space. In fact, it scared me so much in the first 30 chapters that I had to put it down for a couple of months, which was a welcome feeling, given my love for the game. Publisher Tor Books announced the novel will be penned by sci-fi author and Martyr writer B.K. EA is launching novel Dead Space Martyr, Blu-ray and DVD animated movie Dead Space Aftermath and comic Dead Space Salvage early next year to support the upcoming sequel to 2008's third-person action shooter. Titled Dead Space: Catalyst, this is the second novel by author B.K. Dead Space: Martyr, from Tor Books, is the first novel based on the Dead Space franchise. Evenson that's set in the Dead Space universe following Dead Space: Martyr which was released last year. To the fans of video game books, rejoice, for your next band of fan service is here. It's been a busy few days for Dead Space fans; a lot of news has come to light over the last week. A universe cursed with life after death. As someone who loved the first game and is currently playing through the second, I found Martyr to be a great stop gap between games and an interesting look back into the world of Dead Space. It all started deep beneath the Yucatan peninsula, where an archaeological discovery took us into a new age, bringing us face-to-face with our origins and destiny.
